Call center minutes and features: Ripe for savings in an era of technology transition

The intense desire for mobility sometimes seems to overwhelm every other networking consideration, including the once-sacrosanct “five nines of availability” for phone calls. But huge increases in wireless outlays often lead telecom managers to note one remaining, unquestioned advantage of wireline voice: Only one party pays for the call – the caller or the receiving party, based on a deliberate choice by the business.

But wait a minute: Is that even true anymore, in any meaningful sense?
